When Justina East walks into the room, her warmth and kind heart are immediately evident. 1st Oklahoma Construction’s newest employee—affectionately referred to as “Tina” by those who know her—is taking over the role of front desk manager for the Oklahoma City area home builder. She welcomes me in with a smile and strikes up friendly conversation with ease.

Tina drives to Norman, Oklahoma every workday to help the award winning home design and construction company with their business needs at the front desk. The native Oklahoman was born in Oklahoma City and grew up on a farm near the Pauls Valley area—Paoli to be specific. Her eyes light up when we talk about her hometown.

“It’s just a little town—but I love living in a small town. Everybody knows everybody. The neighbors always watch out for all of the kids. And I love it. I don’t have to worry about my grandson going next door,” Tina says with a twinkle in her eye. “He’s always outside!”

“I have three boys and a grandson,” she beams. Her grandson, Crasen, has a T-ball game later today—and I notice that she is proudly wearing a shirt to support the youth team.

“I just really believe that you need to let your family know that you love them every day,” she muses, her eyes glistening. Tina’s love for her family is evident, and coincidently, her sister has also worked for Ali Farzaneh at 1st Oklahoma Construction. She helps to finalize all the homes for the OKC home building business.

What Tina likes most about working at 1st Oklahoma Construction is the atmosphere. “Ali is very nice,” she says. “I believe that he goes above and beyond to make sure that all his customers are happy.”

While Tina enjoys her work manning the front desk, in her free time you’ll find this country gal fishing, spending time with her family and singing country music—especially her go-to song, “Grandpa” by The Judds.
