25 Nov Founder’s Story
I love Oklahoma and love building fine homes.
I attended Norman High and learned discipline by studying martial arts. I come from a family of home builders, known for building homes of great value. From my earliest years I worked in the family business learning all of the ins and outs of home building. I remember doing such tasks as making blue prints and copies, going to the job sites with my dad and older brothers, learning how the building process works from foundation to a ready-to-move-in home. One thing that my father taught me was: “If it’s worth doing, it’s worth doing right.” I especially liked choosing house colors and seeing my ideas become reality.
In 2005, after working in the family business for many years, I decided to launch my own business to see what I could accomplish. I formed First Oklahoma Construction to build larger luxury homes. In spite of the economic turndown in 2009, my business has continued to grow. I guess it’s because I truly love seeing my customers delighted with their new homes. If they are happy, I’m happy.
People will buy their home from me because we offer quality homes for a better price. It is important to offer the highest quality to customers and make sure they are in love with the home that they purchase. The parts of the home that you don’t see are the most important. I don’t cut corners. Sooner or later those cut corners will show up. The home is never better than its foundation.
